In 1977, NASA launched Voyager 1 and 2 into space. It was calculated that Jupiter’s gravity would be sufficient to cause the
spacecraft to leave the orbit of the sun and enter the deeper milky way, drifting endlessly into increasingly distant space.
While Voyager was a fact finding mission, it also contained the Golden Record, a time capsule of the human race from 1977.
Over two thousand five hundred years ago, a young Brahmin yogi of the sakya clan discovered innumerable secrets about the mind, human
life, material objects and the cosmos. His discoveries were foretold.
Such was the volume of the discoveries and their profundity that his teachings are enumerated as being 84,000. Some were written, some
were not. The Brahmin is now referred to as the Buddha, a real historical figure.
Some of the teachings initiated strong traditions that were and remain visible, some were immediately secreted only to be revealed at a later
time. Some remain hidden still.
This project is the result of the instructions contained in one of the revealed texts, known as a ‘terma’.
Like the Golden Record, the hidden texts or instructions are designed to inform. Further, there are vital instructions contained within them
which may help the human race pass through a period of intense struggle to arrive once again at a natural harmony.
Our project is to follow these instructions, adapted honestly and authentically to suit the modern age, without introducing any concepts
that alter the essential meaning and purport of the instructions.
Imagine finding that Golden Record, deep in space, or perhaps returned to the earth after centuries. The information would need to
be carefully considered and interpreted. As a race, humans have centuries experience of forensic skill in determining the purpose of
artefacts, texts and symbols.
We benefit from faithfully preserved and transmitted previously hidden texts and practices. It is evident that certain practices or
instructions would have been irrelevant or incomprehensible at other times.
Having been revealed, it is now open to us to apply the instructions so that obstacles upon our various paths may fall away.
